Dan Methe's "Swing Cat's Big Band" is known throughout Southern California as a highly entertaining, hip high energy big band with an updated and accessible sound. This band can scale from 10 pieces to 18 pieces, with male and female vocalists. This band keeps audiences of all ages ranging from small kids through high schoolers, to seniors, dancing, laughing, and singin' along! This group performs as a "head liner" and also, backs many top vocal ensembles from "Andrew's Sisters" and "Mills Brothers" tribute groups, to Sinatra and Bobby Darin soloists. This group performs at Saddleback college multiple times a year at the McKinney Theater, and also, is available for civic and private functions for a donation to the Saddleback College Jazz Foundation, a non profit organization that supports continuing jazz education in South Orange County.

Notes A trombone quartet is not something you hear every day. A really fine one is even harder to come by. This group performed a Chrismas program for mentally challenged kids and young adults, and senior citizen groups from complete "shut ins" at convelescent homes, to assisted living homes, to active seniors. With the help of our travel coordinator, Trevor Dale, we were able to do 8 45 minute performances in ONE day. This group is available for church services, special occassions, and educational programs. These two recordings were done at Fullerton College, at Chris Murphy's senior receital. This a strong section with Chris Murphy, myself, James Hsu, and Ben Devitt. (It was also a FUN section to play with, as trombone players are reknown for being the "personality" in most musical groups.) Info
